Wildlife on the road

I was driving through Luddendenfoot on Friday morning at about 5am when I came across what I think was a fallow dear dawdling in the road.

I slowed right down so it could get out of the way and so I could get by camera out of the side pocket and take a pic.

I thought I'd missed it, as it shot off once I'd got the camera, but I just caught it.

It just goes to show that mother nature is alive and kicking in the Upper Calder Valley!
