Kaiser Chefs are limbering up

Unbowed by the dubious shenannigans of the Labour Party NEC surrounding her recent deselection, Janet Oosthuysen, the Trades Club's very own version of Jamie Oliver, will soon be bringing her culinary skills to a event near you.

Her venture is called the Kaiser Chefs, in homage to the Kaiser Chiefs, (a famous Johannesburg football team first and a pop group second) as she is going to be doing South African street food around the festivals, as well as vegetarian food for meat eaters , mixed buffets, asian buffets, meditteranean buffets and all sorts of other outside catering. Mmmmm... Delicious!

She has already started to get booked up so if you're planning a party this year, and are looking for something affordable but out of the ordinary, give Janet a call on 0783 214 0898.

When I asked her about the news that local Mayor and fellow Hebden Royd councillor Susan Press was standing for the Calder Valley nomination Janet replied "I have always admired Sue's political principals and know she will work her hardest for the Calder Valley."

Sue will be standing against Steff Booth from Todmorden for the nomination who was narrowly beaten last time around by Janet.
