Free energy audits for local businesses

A 20% reduction in energy use is the equivalent of a 5% increase in profit, and proves that what's good for the environment doesn't have to cost the earth.

As the credit crunch lingers on, and most businesses feel the pinch, Treesponsibility and Hebden Bridge Transition Town have teamed up to provide local businesses with free energy audits which may cut hundreds of pounds off energy bills. Becoming more energy efficient is the easiest way to reduce the carbon emissions from your business, help protect the environment and save money.

As part of the White Rose Forest infrastructure grant, Yorkshire Forward is funding a part time Transition Support Worker to do free energy audits for 99 local businesses over the next 12 months.

The audit takes about 1-1.5 hours, and each business will get a free, individually tailored report outlining no or low cost practical energy saving advice, information on business tax incentives, interest free loans and information about further business support.

If you would like to set up a survey for your business call Natja on 0787 921 6336, or send an email to treesponsibility@yahoo.co.uk
